Guaranteed silencing with non-uniform swirl patterns, velocities and pressures.

Gas turbines produce hot gases up to 1200 ºF, in swirl flow with non-uniform velocities and pressures. High thermal stresses, pressure variances occur and high levels of noise and vibration are generated. Designing exhaust systems and silencers in this hostile environment to reduce noise emissions and ensure both worker safety and regulatory compliance is ATCO Structures & Logistics' (ASL) specialty.

With an installed base of over 500 Gas Turbine Exhaust Systems and Higgott-KaneTM Silencers, ASL's systems are used on simple cycle, combined cycle and co-generation applications for power generation, natural gas compression, and offshore platforms worldwide.

Noise Control for Gas Turbines

ASL supplies noise control systems for gas turbine models all over the world

Intake Systems

Combustion intake air for a gas turbine contains entrained materials from the environment or may form ice in cold climates which cause erosion or damage to the axial compressor and the hot-gas-path parts.  Turbine (gas and steam) noise is also emitted through the air path, and through the casing.  The performance of the gas turbine is affected by the temperature of the air and the pressure drop of this high volume air flow.  As a supplier of acoustic Combustion Air Inlet Systems, ASL offers a complete flange to flange solution with a scope of supply that includes air filtration, evaporative cooling, fogging systems and wet compression along with all associated noise control, proprietary anti-icing systems, ducting, flexible joints, dampers and support steelwork.

Our equipment is installed worldwide on gas turbines ranging in size from 1.5 MW to 256 MW.
