Higgott-Kane
acoustical packages are engineered for a long lifetime of
controlling noise in all operational environments. We offer
skid-mounted or off-base, stainless or galvanized steel, panelized
or drop-over acoustical enclosures, and ancillary components for both

Acoustical
Enclosure – Our
acoustical enclosures are designed to a precise transmission loss to accomplish
the noise reduction target. Effective acoustical
performance is considered in our detailed work, involving final
sealing of joints and doors and treatment of penetrations to prevent
noise emissions.
Combustion
Intake System –
Our acoustical, mechanical and structural engineers design
complete air inlet silencing systems for acoustical package
systems. The air inlet system can include the filterhouse,
anti-icing system, flexible connection to the filterhouse,
acoustically-lined ducts and radial intake scroll, and custom
designed silencer.
Combustion
Exhaust System - Our
engineers design silencing components for packaged exhaust systems
including the exhaust expansion joint, lined silencer, lined exhaust
stack, and support structure. In our design, we optimize various
dynamic insertion losses (DIL’s) to arrive at the acoustical design
requirements to meet your project’s noise level targets while
maintaining acceptable pressure drops.
Ventilation
Inlet Ducting System –
Our acoustical ventilation intake system will channel air over
the equipment to supply cooling and remove heat. Noise is
controlled by lined intake ducting, fan plenums, dampers, and
silencers. All components are designed to achieve the exact
noise reduction and operational requirements.
Ventilation
Outlet Ducting System – To treat
noise breakout from the ventilation system or fan noise, our
engineers may utilize different designs depending on acoustical
performance limits of your project. Custom designed noise reduction components
may include quiet fans (axial or radial); acoustically lined ducts,
fan silencers, and dampers.
Auxiliary
Systems – Our
packages also include interior and exterior systems, such as fire
and gas detection and suppression, controls, cranes, mezzanines, and
platforms.
